I have a 1978 Hyster S30A forklift that I use in my shop. It suddenly started grabbing and lurching to a stop when I hit the brake pedal. It makes it hard to come to a smooth stop - it wants to stop very suddenly and is hard to keep from jostling items on the forks. I pulled the covers and looked everything over, return springs are a ll in place and linkage seems to be OK. Can anyone offer any help?
